Before you change a rule, know why it was made.
People change seats all the time in councils and agencies: they retire, move offices, go on leave. What they know shouldn’t leave with them. Last Day Brain saves it, checks it, and keeps it in your country’s own hands.
Start the demoOffices answer the same “why do we do it this way?” questions again and again, and the answers walk out the door when someone changes seat. Last Day Brain saves each answer once, keeps it where everyone can ask, and hands it on when someone moves, goes on leave or retires.
What the full version is built around.
This is an early prototype. The demo runs on made-up data. Quick voice notes, the rule check and more languages are planned, not built yet.
Follow one officer, Maria, who is moving to a new office, through five steps.
No app and no login. Maria is leaving this post next week. She gets a normal call and tells stories instead of filling in forms.
Each story becomes an entry: what the rule is, why it exists, and who to call.
A checker reads every entry and asks the questions a new person would get stuck on. Maria fills the gaps.
The handover only counts when the expert approves it and the successor shows they understand it.
New staff ask in plain words. Answers come only from what Maria said. If it isn’t there, the question goes back to her.
Last Day Brain is being built to help small countries and local agencies keep what their people know, whether someone retires, moves offices or goes on leave. It starts with one simple idea: before you change a rule, know why it was made.
We are looking for a council or agency willing to try it with one person who is leaving their post.
